Sera and the Royal Stars Volume 2

Published by: Vault Comics
Written by: Jon Tsuei
Illustrated by: Audrey Mok
ISBN: 9781939424693
Ages: 10+

Sera’s mystical quest continues in Volume 2.

At the end of the last Volume, needs of her Kingdom weighing heavy on her heart, Sera has left the Royal Stars and headed home. Aldebaran, Antares, and Fomalhaut, the Royal Stars already saved, have realized that Eltanin and Rastaban’s magic is what is keeping them from ascending back into the heavens. This causes them to seek out the Seven Sisters for guidance.

Their advice? Find Algol, the Demon Star, who was exiled for killing her own kind.

Meanwhile, Sera has come home to find her kingdom conquered, and her father and sister imprisoned. Enemy soldiers, the evil Draconis sorcerers, the Quest itself, and crippling doubt have all aligned against Sera. How will she overcome? Will she save the world? And… is her mother really still alive?

Jon Tsuei (RUN LOVE KILL) continues his successful first Volume, by diving deeper into Sera herself, her motivations and the history of her family. Audrey Mok (ARCHIE, JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS) continues to captivate any reader with her illustrations, so full of color, vibrant and electric. This series is appropriate for school-age children with a love of adventure, myth and fairy tale. The Volume ends positively, but leaves it slightly open ended for possibly future Volumes.

Recommend.
