In a small, out of the way town three childhood friends decide to alleviate their boredom by building a tree fort in a frightening forest that borders a farm with an evil reputation. What could possibly go wrong? It does not take long before the Storm Kids find themselves embroiled in events related to local folktales about pacts with the devil and monsters.
Storm Kids: Sacred Hearts is a great story that reinforces why we should not be so quick to make assumptions based on appearances. Teenage to adult fans of horror stories and/or are in the mood for some Goonies-type nostalgia will enjoy this title.

I devoured them and especially loved the ones that had the flip-book bonus on the bottom pages! It was love at first flip; ever since then, I have been hooked.
