Casandra is confused. Where is she? How did she get here? What’s with the white bodysuit she’s wearing? And why is there an overhead voice talking about combat and competition? She is so confused about what to do, she even misses her chance to grab a starting weapon.
Welcome to the Tower. Fight to survive. There can be only one survivor.
Finding out Tower is like a video game, Cas knows this has something to do with her missing husband Patrick, but is unsure why she is there instead of him. She’ll need to team up with others to survive, but also remember they’ll turn on her before the end. And how does a mysterious man in black seem to break all the rules?
Strange girl wakes in a blank room, in a jumpsuit, questioning not only her whereabouts, but also why the voice overhead is talking about rules, combat, and weaponry. This is a trope we’ve seen before in science fiction books and films, but Camrus Johnson takes the idea and elevates it. While, for me, the execution was slightly lacking, the frantic pacing and vibrant art styles more than kept me entertained. This could easily be a dramatic multiseason SyFy show.
