If they make it to July 24th, it all ends…

Shinpei Ajiro and the rest of the residents of Hitogashima have endured the shadow sickness for too long. Our heroes enter the boss battle in the sixth and final Volume of SUMMERTIME RENDERING and the odds could not be more bleak.

Ushio and Hizuru are gone. Shideh is more powerful than ever. And time is running out…

However, all the plans and machinations of Shinpei have not yet played out. Knowledge of the future and the past, combined with the chaotic nature of his alternate timeline looping abilities, just might be able to save himself, his friends and loved ones, and all the people of Hitogashima.

This series is an absolute must read! Yasuke Tanaka has created a very intricate balance between shounen and shoujo, highlighting both the kinetic action of the fight scenes, as well as the strong relationship between Shinpei and Ushio. Parallel universes and time looping will cater to science fiction fans, and the nature and style of the shadows will enthrall fans of the supernatural. There is something for everyone in the story of SUMMERTIME RENDERING! Check out both the manga AND the anime!

Having read the entire series, with the amount of violence, death, fan service, and specific mature themes, I’d recommend keeping this to ages 15 and up.
