The shadows lengthen and some become clearer…
Shinpei’s return to Hitogashima was supposed to be for the funeral of his foster sister. What it has turned into is a time-travelling adventure fighting against shadow clones of his friends and family. Each time around the loop, Shinpei is able to gather more info about who is still alive and human, and who is copied as a shadow, and thus is possibly being controlled.
With the last Volume, we left off with Ushioh (the “H” at the end of their name indicates that they are a shadow) showing Shinpei and Sou a cell phone video explaining the death of Ushio, creation of Ushioh, and how they worked together to discover some of the secrets behind what is going on. Heading off to Mount Takanosu, our 3 heroes investigate the abandoned clinic and the tunnels beneath to try and learn as much as they can before Shinpei renders it all over again.
Who are Nezu and Hizuru hunting?
What secrets are Tokiko keeping hidden from her brother Sou?
And who is Heine, and what does she have to do with the shadow sickness plaguing the island?
UDON Entertainment brings us the next exciting chapter in Yasuki Tanaka’s SUMMERTIME RENDERING. With the anime already airing in Japan, and the first Volumes of the English translated manga selling everywhere, you should definitely jump on this series. It’s going to be one of the top manga hits of the year!
