A graphic novel for young readers, Peach and the Isle of Monsters is an adventurous story of a young woman who sets forth to forge her own path in the world!

Peach, named aptly so as she was born from the pit of a giant peach, finds herself ridiculed and mocked for telling fellow neighbors the story of her birth. Her father insists that he cannot provide anymore practical life lessons for her and instead banishes her from the only home she’s ever known. It is from this unexpected expulsion that Peach finds purpose through her trek. Along the way, she encounters new friends, bad enemies, a love interest, and even a magical monkey!

Franco is best known for his Eisner Award winning series, Tiny Titans! The illustrations and plot for Peach and the Isle of Monsters are reminiscent of Tiny Titans, with family-friendly plot lines and cherubic characters. The story features a strong female lead character and themes of friendship, persevering, and courage.

Peach and the Isle of Monsters is recommended for children aged 8-12. It’s a good introduction into the world of graphic novels that may be engaging and help educators and parents tie in important lessons for kids.
