Graphic Novel Review: Babyteeth Vol. 4

Posted on April 11, 2022April 11, 2022

Published by: Aftershock Comics
Written by: Donny Cates
Illustrated by: Garry Brown
ISBN: 9781949028836
Ages: 18+

This amazing Volume completes the story of BABYTEETH, and ‘epic’ doesn’t even begin to cover it! Picking up right where Volume 3 left off, Clark’s tears are strong enough (as he is the Antichrist) to open a portal to hell. As Satan continues to proclaim he wants the little guy to rule by his side, Sadie’s family still fights to protect him from his hellish fate.

This Volume is full of death. Spanning over 200 years, we get everything from fights against demons, to infighting between family members, and even a final battle with the Prince of Darkness himself! BABYTEETH has proved, using the idea that started it all, “What if you gave birth to the Antichrist?”, that a story like this is not merely good versus evil. All is not black and white in the final battle for humanity. It unfurls over time, like the peeling of an onion.

Donny Cates (GOD COUNTRY, CROSSOVER, KING IN BLACK) finishes his series with a bang AND a whimper. You’ll have to read to find out which. Make sure you read the previous 3 Volumes first. This series is very adult in both content and concept. 18+
