Director B’Tay is researching a post-apocalyptic Earth both for life signs and locating precious metals. After watching a white bear and a gorilla fight, we also meet a young primal boy being protected by the gorilla that B’Tay and his species have named Helpless. These aliens, called Operators, have come to Earth… why? And what about Earth will change them as they continue to research and experiment?

All Against All is a story that shows that the primal elements of Earth will still exist, even during times of very advanced technology. There is division and conflict, even amongst the Operators, and that will lead to a few very violent battles, all in the name of control. Though humans are present in the story, the “human elements” that we readers will connect with come from the aliens.

Written by Alex Paknadel (Assassin’s Creed Uprising and Arcadia) and illustrated by Caspar Wijngaard (Home Sick Pilots and Star Wars: Doctor Aphra) All Against All is vibrant and colorful, while also showing the violent and harsh realities of post-apocalyptic sci-fi. I really enjoyed the art style and though I feel the story has run its course, it would be interesting to see something in the far future here. Perhaps a harmony can be found with the Operators.
