Graphic Novel Reviews: Money Shot Volume 2

Posted on March 8, 2021March 8, 2021

Money Shot Volume 2

Published by: Vault Comics
Written by: Tim Seeley, Sarah Beattie
Illustrated by: Rebekah Issacs, Kurt Michael Russell
ISBN: 9781939424730
Ages: 18+

The XXXplorers are back with a second Volume!

The “Adults Only” universe of MONEY SHOT operates on a unique premise: scientists, who have become human-on-alien porn stars, use their pay-per-view money to fund a teleportation device called Money Shot to get to alien worlds for research into bettering humanity. (Very unique, right? Go read Volume 1, if you haven’t already.)

Following their previous successful journey, the scientists have been able to continue their exploits, and now prepare to head off to a different world. Unfortunately, American president Luke Kirk (a very obvious reference to former President Trump, both in demeanor and types of followers) wants to cancel their endeavor by creating laws forbidding it. Despite their differences, the President agrees to allow them to continue if he can go with them and make porn with aliens too. Once Kirk supporters see their President going against their beliefs and Bible verses, they still support him, even one claiming the Bible to be wrong.

(Trigger Warning: Wherever you stood on the debate around Trump, reading this WILL show it to be an obvious parody into the ridiculousness that existed the last few years. Liberal comic will represent liberal opinions.)

Volume 2 of MONEY SHOT continues the hysterics and hijinks of the first Volume, while expanding on the story and lore. Tim Seeley pulls from current political history to provide a sense of realism and connection to his characters, giving a feeling that his story may not be as far away as we think.

Strong recommend, but adults only.
