Library Patrons Love Walking Dead Day

October 13th marked The Walking Dead Day—an exciting all-day, globally celebrated event commemorating the world’s favorite, long-running, survival Image/Skybound Entertainment comic by Robert Kirkman (Oblivion Song, Outcast by Kirkman & Azaceta) and Charlie Adlard.

Image/Skybound Entertainment had announced that this year’s WALKING DEAD DAY, in celebration of the series’ 15th anniversary, would feature exclusive swag for fans to snag at participating stores. Librarians across the country signed up for the event kit and shared their experiences with Diamond!

The event kit included Walking Dead Day buttons, post cards, bookmarks, posters, a special Walking Dead giveaway comic and a Walking Dead Day bandana mask. Check out the testimonials below!

"Our "The Walking Dead Day" was super fun. The event was offered to everyone that walked into our library, from 1100 until 1400 a total of 134 patrons walked into our facility. Adults, Teens and Children played our giant matching card game. All played while making their best zombie impression. All received prices for participating or for asking about the event. Patrons thanked all for a "scary" zombie event." - Evelyn, Georgia

"We made edible brains and fingers for everyone to snack one while we did TWD trivia. It was a lot of fun!" - Jonathan, Florida

"We had a wonderful celebration!  I ordered a lot of zombie decorations and printed off other pictures from the TV series. We had appropriate snacks:  Zombie Finger Cookies, Eye Ball Cake Balls, Eye Ball punch with red hands floating in it. Of course, we included “Fall Off the Bone, Terminus BOB-B-Q”!! Our games were trivia and a character match game where I attached numbered pictures of the actors on the curtains, and gave out a sheet with the names and a blank for the number of the picture that matched it. Our main attraction was our make-up artist who gave a tutorial on applying zombie make-up. It was a real hit!!" - Janice, Minnesota
